CAMP OBJECTIVES AND FORMAT

The CC team tournament camp is designed to allow the top high school age teams (grades 9 - 12) in the country to compete on a national stage in front of the best college coaches in the country. This camp is structured and organized with players, family, college coaches, and fans in mind. It provides a one-of-a-kind environment for those interested in a premier college exposure event and instruction at one event. In addition, the Colonial Cup places emphasis on targeted instructional sessions conducted by some of the most respected names in collegiate lacrosse.

The primary goal is to provide a setting where high school aged teams can compete against high quality competition while improving individual and team-play skills throughout the process. Your team has the opportunity to face-off against some of the best summer teams in the country and Canada. In addition, the tournament is geared to provide maximum college exposure for all of the participants. Certified lacrosse referees will officiate all games.

In an effort to maintain a high standard of competition and a solid cross section of lacrosse talent, the Colonial Cup Staff are inviting teams from across the
U.S. and Canada. Each team will play an equal number of games. Each of the teams will participate in a round-robin tournament that provides an outlet for team competition and the chance to compete for the coveted "Cup." All of the teams competing in the Colonial Cup will play a minimum of 4 games on two easily (main stadium and adjacent soccer field) accessible fields, with professional referees calling each game. Each team will play in at least two preliminary round games and one finishing round game in the stadium.

There will be instructional session(s) for all players and coaches. Many fun and interesting topics are being arranged. Each instructional session will be geared to position specific discussions. In addition, topics are being arranged for the coaches. This won't be your typical dry 60 minute session just to go through the motions and to ensure we meet NCAA guidelines. They are geared to be applicable and viable.
